My Fab Reads – September

I feasted on a stack of romance books this month, I guess it’s the nights drawing in that makes me want to be cosy and loved up. Sadly, author Lisa B Kamps passed away, I’ve read and loved so many of her books I felt the need for a mention.

Here’s what I loved in September.

Entrapped – The Rogues #3 by Tracie Delaney

You’ve got to love a billionaire romance series. I’m a big fan of JS Scott’s Sinclairs. But with the third book in this series Ms Delaney is easily giving The Sinclairs a run for their money. So if billionaires are your thing, get downloading!

The couple in this one are super interesting. He will definitely have you rolling your eyes and gritting your teeth, but ultimately you’ll swoon!

Make it Sweet by Kristen Callihan (out in 2021)

Night time swims, pastries, seascapes and nicknames.

I loved how she got him, even when he was struggling himself. She gave him space to make his decisions, the way they supported each other was so heart warming. There was no fake drama, no make up/break up silliness.

The story is wonderful, the writing is crisp, emotive and expressive. I didn’t realise until afterwards that it was a sports romance.

Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen

As I expect from this author the writing is first class, with a great ensemble cast. We’re going to get books on the other band members from different authors. As an extra, I really hope we get Adam’s book!

I always love the way Ms Bowen writes her men, and Jonas is no exception. In fact he and Silas (Superfan) are my fave of her heroes. I thought the way he was all in was beyond adorable, who doesn’t want to love or be loved like that?!

RIP Lisa B. Kamps

Sadly, very early this morning one of my favourite sports romance writers lost her battle with cancer. Lisa had a few ice hockey series including a female one (what a superstar our Lisa was!). She was a former fire fighter and penned a Firehouse series.

The images show two I’ve not yet read so I’ve just downloaded. If you haven’t read one of her books yet, download a few yet and get stuck in. She had a real gift for capturing the camaraderie her characters found themselves in, so I’m sure you will enjoy.
